Meet Dania

I'm a holistic psychotherapist who works with individuals of all ages as they move through emotional, relational, and developmental challenges. Some come to therapy looking for space to reflect and make sense of their inner world. Others are navigating transitions, supporting a struggling child, or seeking relief from patterns that no longer serve them. Whatever brings you into the room, I offer a calm, creative, and compassionate environment where meaningful change can unfold.

With over a decade of experience across diverse settings, I’ve supported children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm. What grounds my work is a deep trust in each person’s innate capacity to grow, especially when they feel truly safe, seen, and supported.

Why Makan?

Makan (مكان) is the Arabic word for place – a space to arrive, to be, to belong.

This name reflects the heart of my practice: a grounded, relational space where healing can take root. Here, you’re invited to come as you are — whether you're in the midst of change, feeling unsure, or carrying concern for a child you love. Makan offers an environment that is calm and creative, where you're met with presence, care, and deep respect.

Beyond the physical, Makan also evokes an internal and emotional space — one that honors your story, your pace, and your process. It’s a space where the sacredness of showing up is held with intention.

I believe that meaningful growth begins in safe relationship.

Offerings

  • Whether you're a child finding it hard to put feelings into words, a teen navigating a swirl of emotions, or an adult seeking to better understand yourself, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect.

  • Sometimes the most meaningful support for a child starts with supporting their parent or caregiver. These sessions are collaborative and rooted in the belief that you know your child best, and that with the right support, growth and connection can flourish.

  • Group therapy offers a unique space for connection, shared experience, and relational healing. Grounded in the same holistic and attachment-informed approach as my individual work, groups provide opportunities to explore emotions, express creativity, and build inner and interpersonal resilience, all within the safety of a supportive community.
