Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy

Children and teenagers often experience big emotions without always having the words to explain what they are feeling. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where they can express themselves, build emotional awareness, and develop healthy ways of coping.

At Makan Therapy, I work with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, behavioural difficulties, grief, identity questions, family changes, trauma, and challenges related to school, friendships, or transitions.

My approach is gentle, creative, and adapted to each child’s age and personality. Sessions may include talking, art-making, storytelling, creative activities, and reflective exercises that help young people process their experiences in a way that feels natural and safe.

I also work closely with parents and caregivers, helping create a supportive environment around the child both at home and in everyday life.

Therapy can help children and adolescents feel more understood, connected, and confident in themselves.
